YEAR 6 CANBERRA CAMP

YEAR 6 CONQUERS CANBERRA

Last week, our Year 6 students braved the chilly capital weather for their highly anticipated, inaugural trip to Canberra, and what a week it was. Blessed with beautiful, crisp blue skies, the cohort made the absolute most of every moment.

A massive highlight of the trip was a special visit at Parliament House with our local sitting member, Dr Gordon Reid, who took the time to talk with the students about his role representing our community. The students then stepped into the chambers to participate in a lively mock voting poll to learn how our laws are made. The action-packed itinerary also included taking in incredible culture at the National Gallery of Australia, exploring history at the National Museum of Australia, getting hands-on at Questacon, paying respects at the Australian War Memorial, and enjoying a classic game of cricket on the capital grounds.

Beyond all the incredible learning, it was a fantastic week for our seniors to bond, laugh, and create lifelong memories together.
